Dear Parishioners, Happy Labor Day Holiday to everyone. As we enjoy the rest this weekend, we also pray for all workers, and that people looking for employment may find work. OLPH School has begun as well as Youth Ministry and Junior High programs. Registrations are being taken for Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (R.E.). For information on any of these programs please call the office (480) 947-4331. A lot of new families have joined our Parish community over the last couple of months. We invite them, and indeed everyone, to become involved in some ministry or service in the Parish. Besides helping others, it is also a good way of getting to know other Parishioners and making friends. Ministry Sign-Up Sunday will be September 6th - 7th. Please reflect beforehand on which ministry you would like to be involved with. There is a special need at the moment for volunteers to help one Sunday a month at the Children's Liturgy of the Word at 9:30 and 11:00 A.M. Masses. Also, we need volunteers one Sunday a month for Childcare at the 9:30 A.M. Mass. For more information please call Theresa Woodley at (480) 874-3710. Finally, we bid farewell this week to Marge Camano as she retires from work. Marge is the Parish Bookkeeper and has worked at OLPH for 38 years.
