A Letter of Thanks to the Parishioners of Our Lady of Perpetual Help December 10-11, 2005 My Dear Friends and Fellow Parishioners: On behalf of the entire Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish family on this, the first anniversary of the inauguration of our parish & school-wide campaign, I want to express my sincerest appreciation to you for your generous commitments of time, talents and financial support of our campaign, Building on Our Future … One Piece at a Time Campaign. One year ago this weekend, I came to you with a vision for OLPH, a vision to establish a parish life center, refurbish Maguire Hall and undertake other important school-based construction initiatives. Today, one year later the fruits of our collective efforts are visible to all. Maguire Hall has been transformed into a beautiful resource facility and our school has been expanded to meet the curriculum demands for the 21st century, This transformation is attributable to the dedication and perseverance of more than 100 campaign volunteers and generosity of 950 families, who’s commitment has made such a substantial impact upon the realization of our mutual vision. These unselfish and generous acts are so important to our mission of building our Catholic community of Scottsdale and surrounding areas. To date, more than $2.9 million has been pledged to our campaign, yet to fully realize our vision requires that we raise an additional $1.4 million over the coming months. Therefore, in our ongoing efforts to engage the entire parish in support of our vision, this weekend members of our campaign team are making a special appeal, seeking the support of those members of this Faith community who have not yet participated in our campaign. I ask that you listen to our appeal with an open heart and mind, and make your sacrificial gift or pledge, payable over three years, to Building on Our Future … One Piece at a Time Campaign. Faithfully in Christ, Rev. Thomas Hever |
