Endowments Endowments are funds to which gifts are given and the fund is invested to provide income. The principal (corpus) is never invaded or borrowed from – it’s only invested. Endowments are permanent, institutional commitments that transcend changes in personnel, pastors, principals and administrators. Can an endowment be designated as a gift for a particular program like a student scholarship? Absolutely! Presently O.L.P.H. has four endowments
Are there different ways to give? Yes, You can give a single gift or you can pledge your gift over a period of years. It can be a gift of cash, securities (stocks, bonds, etc.) insurance, real estate, gifts through your will or collectibles. All of Our Lady of Perpetual Help endowments are held at the Diocese with the Catholic Community Foundation. |
