The Collection for the Victims of Katrina Fr. Tom Hever wrote the following in his letter to the parishioners for the September 11th bulletin: "I thank you very much for your great generosity in the second collection last weekend to help the victims of Katrina. The total donated was $21,821.00, which is phenomenal". Funds continued to flow in following this date, bringing the grand total to $29,246.00. The children of our parish were deeply touched and wanted to do their part. Each classroom in the OLPH School conducted a drive, filling large bins with new clothing and school supplies for the children victimized by the Katrina disaster. Our Scouts of OLPH held a drive and collected new socks and underwear. Good Work Kids! |
