SAFE ENVIRONMENT TRAINING - "CALLED TO PROTECT"

This program will teach steps that can be taken to prevent child sexual abuse such as:

	Facts and myths about child sexual abuse
	How offenders gain access to children
	Warning signs to look for in children, or adults
	Why monitoring and screening of volunteers is so important

Before taking this training, you are requested to review the newly published Diocese of Phoenix Policies and Procedures for the Protection of Minors. For those of you who have taken this session in 2006-07 the diocesan policy for refreshing your SET training is as follows:

· Volunteers dealing directly with children must update (refresh) every year.

· All other volunteers, every 2 years.

The webpage for the refresher session is now available. Simply access www.diocesephoenix.org, select the “Safe Environment” tab, choose the “My Obligations” tab, and proceed as instructed. Plan on 30 to 45 minutes to complete the video and questions. When completed, your individual information will be auto-updated on the diocesan database and you will receive a confirmation email.
