Introducing the OLPH SCRIP Program
SCRIP is a fundraising program which runs throughout the school calendar year. The program is simple to participate in and benefits both the school and the school family.
Through the SCRIP program, gift cards are available for purchase from a variety of merchants. The dollar amount of the gift card is the amount you pay - for instance you pay $25 for a $25 gift certificate from the merchant of your choice. A small percentage of the total dollar amount purchased is paid for by the participating merchant, this is where fundraising occurs.
Each school family participating in the SCRIP program has a SCRIP account. Profits from your SCRIP purchases are applied to your account. The first $150 in profit from your account is donated to the school. After the first $150, the remaining profits are split – 50% will be rebated back to you, to be applied to your school family’s tuition for the following school year.
We encourage you to participate in this fundraising program. You can be involved as much or as little as you want, in a variety of different ways. SCRIP sales are held in front of the school office every Tuesday or Friday morning from 7:50 – 8:30 am during the school year. You can also fill out a SCRIP order form by selecting the merchants you wish to purchase gift cards from, then routing the completed form to the OLPH school office along with your payment. SCRIP orders are filled on Tuesdays and Fridays, a filled order will be sent home with your child in his / her back pack.
Check out the Great Lakes Scrip Center retailer list for a full and updated list of participating dealers. If we don't have the item in stock at the Scrip table or on the Scrip order form, we can always order it from Graeat Lakes Scrip Center.
