The Society of St. Vincent de Paul

Mission Statement:

"The Mission of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul of the Diocese of Phoenix is to encourage the spiritual growth of its members, volunteers, the people they serve and benefactors; to encourage fellowship while serving those in need and to provide an opportunity to others to serve those in need.

Inspired by Gospel values, the Society offers person-to-person service to the needy and suffering, regardless of race, origin, religion or gender."

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is an international non-profit agency, active in 133 countries worldwide and in northern and central Arizona since 1946.  An all-volunteer organization, the Society works to alleviate the suffering of the poor through structured programs and by working one-on-one with people in their homes.

While their work is grounded in fundamental Catholic principles, the Society itself is not owned or funded by the Catholic Church.

In Arizona, the Society has approximately 2,300 members and over 6,000 volunteers.  To learn more about the Phoenix St. Vincent de Paul’s many dining rooms, kitchens, food distribution, transitional shelters, Ministry to the Homeless, medical & dental programs, Ministry to the Incarcerated, or Transient Aid Center please see the following website:

Our Lady of Perpetual Help’s volunteer group serves those in need within our parish boundaries with food, shelter and other reasonable requests for assistance. For more information concerning our parish volunteer activity, or to become an active volunteer, please call Our Lady of Perpetual Help’s main number at 480-947-4331.

At OLPH, the annual St. Vincent de Paul Food Drive, is an effort coordinated by St. Vincent de Paul volunteers, the Boy Scouts and the Men of OLPH.  Below are pictures displaying just some of the food donated the last weekend of November each year.  Thank You to all involved for your generosity in making this yearly event such a success!  Your donations will go a long way toward feeding the poor within our parish.
