Stewardship Stewardship is a spiritual consciousness or lifestyle based in scripture that holds that we are lifelong caretakers of God’s spiritual and worldly blessings. You can find references to Stewardship in the Bible: "Where your treasure is, there will your heart be also." (MT 6:21) "He who sows sparingly will reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will reap bountifully. Everyone must give according to what he has inwardly decided; not sadly, grudgingly, for God loves a cheerful giver." (2 Cor) Stewardship means sharing of our Time, Talent and Treasure. Our gift of Time can be shared by offering to serve in one or more of the ministries at the Church. (See our bulletin for a listing of Ministries.) We must also allow time for prayer. Prayer is an important part of our lives and we must make time in our busy lives to pray. The Gift of Our Talent - We have all been blessed by God with unique, individual talents that we can use to serve our Church and community. Many opportunities are available to volunteer and use a unique talent we may have. Our parish can benefit with many volunteer projects because they save the parish financially. Our Treasure is shared through our sacrificial giving to the Church. We must remember that all we have is a gift from God and we must share those gifts with our Church by supporting our parish’s mission and it’s many ministries financially. As a service, Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church provides several ways for our parishioners to provide their gift of Treasure. Weekly contribution envelopes are provided when you register at the Parish. If you prefer not to use envelopes, simply placing your check in the Offertory basket will provide a record of your contributions. Another option for your sacrificial gift is through our Sure Pay Plan where your contribution is automatically withdrawn from your checking account or you may have your contributions charged to your credit card.
