What Can I Do to Help Stop Abortion?               

 §         Pray daily for an end to abortion, for women tempted to have abortions, for doctors and nurses, for legislators, for clergy, and for those who work in the pro-life movement.

 §         Participate in the Sanctity of Life Holy Hours at the Adoration Chapel at OLPH: Mondays 11- 12 AM, Thursdays 7-8 PM.

§         Pray for the closure of the abortion clinic at Planned Parenthood, 1250 E. Apache Blvd., Tempe.  (This abortion clinic has been assigned to OLPH by Priests for Life).

 §         Pray the rosary at abortion clinics on Saturdays and at special vigils on Christmas Eve and Good Friday every year.

 §         Add your e-mail address or postal mailing address to the Parish list for updates on pro-life.  (e-mail your request to Carole Dellorfano at:  Cdellorfano@diocesephoenix.org or mail a letter to her, c/o OLPH Church, 7655 E. Main St., Scottsdale, AZ  85251).

 §         Wear the “Precious Feet” pin which represents a baby’s feet at 10 weeks after conception, and put a pro-life bumper sticker on your car.  These items are available every Sunday at the back of the church. 

 §         Take part in pro-life activities: the Sanctity of Life Rally in January, sponsored by Arizona Right to Life, and the Candlelight Procession at OLPH Scottsdale, January 22^nd every year.

§         Support pregnant women in crisis and encourage them to choose motherhood or adoption.

a.      Make information available about centers which will offer counseling and refuge:

b.      Participate in the collection of baby items to help these mothers in crisis.  The   

     OLPH Sodality has a baby shower every year and the Parish also sponsors a

     Cradle Sunday in April of every year.

§         Offer compassion and forgiveness for mothers who have experienced abortions.

§         Register to vote, and vote!  Encourage others to register and vote.  Research the candidates and issues.  Vote pro-life and support pro-life issues.
